Kathiri veyil or Agni Nakshatram in 5 days!

As per the Hindu Almanac (Panchangam), only 5 days are left for �kathiri veyil� (the most oppressive heat of the summer).
However, the hot weather is already oppressive!
With the phenomenon of heat convection, cyclonic effect has formed in the upper layers of the atmosphere and this has caused some light rains in some places in Tamil Nadu.
The maximum rainfall yesterday (Tuesday, 28th April) has been recorded at Valparai at 50 mm.
As the convection effect continues, light rains are expected in some parts of Tamil Nadu.
