Central government announcement: No plans to make Aadhar card compulsory!

While answering a question raised in the parliament, the central Planning Minister Mr. Indrajit Singh informed in writing that there are no current plans for the central government to make Aadhar card compulsory.
Different ministries of the government, other government departments and agencies keep introducing new welfare schemes. When these schemes are linked to Aadhar cards, it becomes easier to detect and remove bogus applications thus helping avoid duplicates.
Even the process of implementation improves while linking Aadhar cards and enables transparency in the operation.
This ensures that no deserving customers are affected where the service or benefits are denied to them.
It is worth recalling the recent order by Supreme Court that the benefits or subsidies should not be denied for the public without Aadhar cards.
