Mobile service providers have planned to increase the rates.
The Managing Director of The Indian Mobile Companies� Association, Mr. Rajan S. Mathews, informed about this. It is not immediate. It may take 9 months or even a year. They need to invest on the latest equipment to improve the quality of service.
This factor has necessitated the increase of the mobile rates.
When the operating costs keep increasing, it is not proper not to revise the mobile rates. The business cannot be run at a loss for long duration. Hence, it has become inevitable to increase the rates.
2G & 3G spectrum auctions are in progress. All leading companies have been bidding. It is gathered that amount has crossed Rs. 1 Lakh Crores!
