Following very serious protest by residents and traders in the area of Pallavaram, the area municipality made a unanimous resolution requesting the highway department to redesign Radhanagar subway so that it can make a two-way road that allows movement of light vehicles.

Students in large numbers, of the range thousand, are forced to take risk of crossing railway tracks at Chrompet due to the delay in construction of vehicular subway. This subway which is partially constructed now is full of stagnant water and stinking with garbage. Highway officials have now promised to resume the work in three months from now.

Residents in Radha Nagar are being troubled due to the difficulty in reaching GST road. They take the route of crossing railway tracks when they have such a need. Though they have the option of MIT flyover, it is too time consuming.

Chrompets eastern side has seen massive development with two colleges lying within - Madras Institute of Technology and Shrimathi Devkunvar Nanalal Bhatt Vaishnav College for Women. Students studying in these colleges are too troubled due to difficulty in reaching their institution. An extra distance of 4km need to be covered for Vaishnav college students who take MIT flyover from Radha Nagar.
