Ilayaraja visits Thaarai Thappattai shooting spot

Thaarai Thappattai is a film which has Sasikumar and Varalakshmi in the lead roles. This film which is based on Karagattam dancers has the music of Ilayaraja. Thaarai Thappattai will be the 1000th film of Ilayaraja. Bala is directing the film. The shooting of the film is taking place near Thanjavur for the last one month. Ilayaraja visited the shooting spot on Wednesday. He was welcomed with a mangala song. After this, Ilayaraja witnessed a cultural programme organized by local folk dancers and singers.
Ilayaraja said, �I was invited by Bala to visit the shooting spot. Bala is a very dedicated director. Of all the films he has directed Thaarai Thappattai will be a challenging one. He is taking all efforts for the sake of this film.�
