Differently-abled persons can book their railway ticket at home

So far differently-abled persons were not allowed to book concessional tickets through IRCTC website. They were supposed to present the concessional form at Railway booking counter. This was a great hardship. Now they can book it on the Indian Railways� online ticketing portal www.irctc.co.in from the comfort of their homes. Now, passengers only need to give details of the �Handicap Card� number while booking the e-ticket, which will be verified by the TTE after boarding the train. The type of concession - �Escort� or �Handicap� can also be mentioned. Earlier, disabled persons could not avail concession while booking e-tickets.
