SBI introduces facility to link Aadhar Number to Savings Account thorough ATM!

State Bank of India (SBI ) has introduced a new facility for getting the LPG cooking gas subsidy by linking the Aadhar Card number through ATM with the savings account of the consumer.
A senior SBI official informed:
In order to avoid delays in depositing the subsidy amount for LPG cooking gas cylinders and to ensure quick linkage of the direct subsidy scheme, SBI has introduced the facility by linking Aadhar cards through ATMs.
With this facility, the savings account holders can insert their ATM card and by selecting the menu �Registration� and then picking �Aadhar Registration link�, they enter their Aadhar card number linking it to the bank account.
Customers with internet banking facility can go to the website: www.onlinesbi.com. And press the link, �Link Your Aadhar Number� and enter the Aadhar card number. SMS will be sent by SBI confirming the Aadhar card registration linked to the savings account.
