EPFO’s new service to PF subscribers: ‘Digital Life Certificate’

EPFO (Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation) will be introducing a new service called ‘Digital Life Certificate’.
An official from EPFO informed that the pensioners will have to give proof that they are alive in the month of November every year.
The new service, Digital Life Certificate, will replace this procedure.
Pensioners will have to register the details of Pension Order, Aadhar Card, Bank savings account number, and cell phone number in the PF Office.
After registration, the pensioners can submit their Digital Life Certificate through their cell phones.
This procedure is currently being tested in Delhi & Chandigarh from 26th December.
The PF offices in Delhi & Chandigarh have commenced registering all the required particulars of the pensioners.
Based on the successful result of the test here, the service will be extends throughout the country.
Over 47 Lakhs of pensioners will benefit from this scheme.
