Railways decision to reduce concession fare schemes!

Indian Railway has decided to reduce the schemes offering concessional fares in future.
Differently-abled people, Sport celebrities, students, journalists, and senior citizens are currently given concession by Railways.
On this concession, it is learnt from statistics that the Railways have incurred losses in revenue to the tune of Rs. 1000 Crores every year for the last 5 years. The loss for the current financial year is reported to be Rs. 1300 Crores.
The step to reduce concessional fare schemes in future has been recommended by the D K Mittal committee on the Railway�s financial crisis.
