Malpractices in Group-1 Exams ďż˝ High Court Order to Examination Board!

Chennai High Court issued an order in the year 2011 cancelling the appointment of 83 candidates who passed in the Group-1 exams conducted in 2004. Supreme Court validated this last June.
Some of the candidates who wrote the examination appealed in the court that out of the 91 candidates who passed the test, it is established that 83 candidates did not follow the rules and also that the process of scaling was not done properly
Supreme Court took the petition submitted jointly by some officials, Tamil Nadu Government, and TNPSC for trial.
On behalf of Tamil Nadu government, it was pointed out that cancellation of the appointment of employees who worked for more than 10 years until now would be ridiculous and also that there were no malpractices in the answer sheets. Also, it was represented that the judgement was made without thorough analysis of the facts & figures.
Supreme Court ordered that all answer sheets (written by 800 candidates) should be sealed in an envelope and to be submitted to the court. The next trial was scheduled on 22nd January.
