An �Akash� missile was sent from the Launch centre yesterday (18th November) at Chandipur, Odisha hit and destroyed the target successfully.
Following this, another �Akash� missile was sent today (19th November) which again met with success.
Akash missile was made by the Indian Defence research and Development Centre. It can carry a load of 60 kg to a distance of 25 km to hit the target.
It can also target airplanes at 30 km distance. It can also track several targets at the same time, chase and hit them.
India has successfully conducted the test run of the Surface to air missile Akash yesterday. The test was carried out at allocation 15 km from Chandiput seashore at Balasore District, Odisha State.
Following the 2 successful tests, some more tests are scheduled.
