�Kandhasashti� festival at Palani Temple starts on 24th October!

Lord Muruga killed the demon Surapadman on the sashati of full-moon phase of the Tamil month of Ippasi. This day is celebrated as �Kandhasashti�.
Great number of devotees from various places including other states such as Kerala, Karnataka & other districts of Tamil Nadu participate on this occasion
Kandhasashti is scheduled to be celebrated on 24th October at the famous Palani Temple . The festival will commence with �kappu kattuthal�.
As a preparation for the festival, Palani Devasthanam has started making arrangements for staying lodges, drinking water, puja/prayer items and other amenities.
Joint Collector, Mr. Rajamanickam, informed that arrangements have been made to ensure that the devotees have safe and good Darshan without any jostling crowding.
