De-addiction centre to be opened soon
The city corporation will soon start an alcohol de-addiction centre at the Communicable Diseases Hospital in Tondiarpet. Officials said the 50-bed centre was expected to reduce alcoholism among people. The centre will provide psychological therapy, art therapy, counselling, yoga and recreation activities free of cost.
