Distribution of PVC Colour Voter ID card Begins in Chennai
The district election office in Chennai will start issuing new polyvinyl chloride (PVC) elector`s photo identity card (EPIC) with colour photograph on Thursday. As many as 1.36 lakh new cards are ready for distribution for newly enrolled voters in the city. The PVC cards have some security features including a hologram with coded details of the voter, to prevent duplication and forgery.
