Railways say that AC coupes wont replace 2nd class

Refuting media reports that all second class sleeper coaches will be replaced with air-conditioned coaches within five years, Southern Railway on Tuesday denied that it planned. An official said that due to acute shortage of second sleeper coaches, the railways had to replace a second sleeper coach with a air-conditioned three-tier coach in a few trains and a second sleeper coach with a second class sitting coach in a few other trains from July 27.
