2 medical colleges in TN to be upgraded
The Union government has announced that two medical colleges from Tamil Nadu will be among the 39 government medical institutions in the country to be upgraded. A government release said Thanjavur and Tirunelveli medical colleges will be upgraded at a cost of Rs 150 crore each. Of this, the Centre will allocate Rs 120 crore and the balance will be contributed by the state government.
