Raids in Saravana Bhavan hotels

The Commercial Taxes Department of Tamil Nadu had conducted inspection in 40 outlets of the Saravana Bhavan restaurant chain from yesterday morning.
It would go on two-three days, as it requires a few days� monitoring to ascertain sales and if there is any mismatch with the restaurant chain�s accounting.It was also said that similar exercise may be carried out on other restaurant chains also.
Confirming the �inspection�, an official of Saravana Bhavan said this is a routine exercise being conducted by the department periodically.�There is absolutely no issue, and all our outlets are functioning as usual.�
