�A� grade for Madras University by National Assessment and Accreditation Council

University of Madras, SASTRA University and the B.S. Abdur Rahman Institute of Science & Technology were amongst those that received A grade accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
The results, which were released on Monday night, included 102 colleges and universities from across the country that were assessed in the first cycle, 79 in the second cycle and 20 in the third cycle.
In the first cycle, a total of five colleges from Chennai were assessed and all of them received the B Grade, while all of the universities that applied from Chennai received the �A� Grade.
