Most Valuable Breast Milk Banks Opening Soon ďż˝ For the Second Time in Chennai

Now the Vijaya hospital is geared up for the launch of breast milk bank this weekend. This is the second breast milk bank in Chennai.
As a pioneer for this facility, Chennai�s first breast milk bank has been organized at the Institute of Child Health (ICH) in Egmore, two months ago.
As we all know, the breast milk in the nutritious food for the new born. In various states including mother will not able to secrete milk or the new born�s not strengthier enough to suckle the milk; babies do not get the breast milk.
For the above cases, we are compelled to feed the babies with the formula milk, even though it is not ideal for new born�s, said Anil Kumar, Centre in-Charge, Department of Pediatrics, Vijaya Health Centre.
Here comes the role of the milk banks, where the lactating mother can bestow their milk at the bank. Once the milk screened for the organism, it will be pasteurized and stored in optimal temperature for about 6 months, said Dr. Kumar.
Hell a lot of demands are there for this milk banks. Milk from this bank can be availed by the babies who have been admitted in ICU and hospitalized pre-mature babies, he explained.
