Summer is here and the very thought of it leaves us to abandon jeans and simply forces us to stick with cotton clothes. Utter summer and this period can simply turn into nightmare what with the constant itching and sweating and of course the scenario is much more when it comes to India. But remember, there is always good thing about summer - packing your backpacks and looking for places that can turn out to be a getaway and altogether, forgetting and escaping the scorching summer.

Well, naturally people can easily get tired of revisiting places such as Ooty, Kodaikanal, Kullu Manali, Ernakulam and several other Hill Stations. On the other hand, one cannot always visit beaches and pools as they may eventually get bored and one cannot imagine how hot beaches and pools can get during the midday. However, if your credit and visa cards are quite hot and if you can afford a few foreign trips, then you can as well consider visiting a few exotic places across the globe that is listed down here.   

1. Alaska - Glacier Bay National Park


 Honestly, if you are considering paying a visit to US, here is a best option other than California, New York or Hawaii. I don`t know if you have ever considered visiting Alaska, but I am sure one cannot resist falling in love with the city and certainly the Glacier Bay National Park. The best part of Alaska is that usual hours of the day is quite long and addition to it, the temperature of the State is quite mild as well.

The Glacier National Park and Preserves is a globe`s heritage site and the total land is around 3.3 million acres that is situates in Alaskan panhandle. The region�s highest fall is generally between 50 to 60 degrees. Indeed, sea kayaking and hiking will completely make you to forget summer and heat totally. 

2. Portillo in Chile

Say me you are that person who really go crazy about skiing and I can where to find the perfect place. Yes! That�s right - your precise pick would be Portillo which is also famously known as Ski Portillo Chile indicating skiing as its popular sport. Located in the Southern Hemisphere, Portillo offers a great skiing during the summer season.

Portillo is situated 100 miles away from Santiago and it is a wintery resort that is located high in the region of Andes. This resort overlooks the pure and clean Incas Lake that is rested on 10,000 feet. The steep slopes and the dry powder is ideal for skiing and this brings in a lot of expertise skiers across the globe. 4. Bariloche in Argentina

Again here is an exotic location to visit during the summer and that too is quite close to Andes just like Portillo. Located in the region of Argentina`s Patagonia, Barlioche or formally known as San Carlos de Bariloche is a city that`s exactly we want at the moment. Since the city is located in Southern Coast and falls close to the Nahuel Huapi Lake, the place is the ideal choice for winter lovers. As an added advantage, the weather condition always remains 40 since Bariloche is situated in the lower hills of Andes. 

5. Reykjavik in Iceland

For enjoying long days during summer, we would suggest you to visit Reykjavik that is located in Iceland and it�s a bliss that the average hours of a day can last up to 20 hours. This certainly gives us an opportunity to commit a lot of activities in a day enabling to visit every site possible.

During the summer, the temperature of Iceland will be up to 40 to 50 degree. If you think the region is too cold to manage then you can make an escape to the popular geothermal pools and take a swim since they are heated and warm due to the volcanic activity. 

6. Churchill in Canada

During the July, these whales enter the River of Churchill in order to feed and give birth. They also tend to raise their young ones during July and August. 

7. Melbourne in Australia

When summer comes, the Melbourne city is always a few degrees cooler than the rest of the country and mercury very rarely comes down below the usual 42 degrees. During the summer, many visitors do not visit the city and this gives us ample of space to visit.

Apart from the cool climate, when you visit Australia do not miss the famous Football games of Australia, the mind boggling architectural works and the amazing Queen Victoria Market. 

8. California in San Francisco

If you really want to enjoy a good winter during summer, then think California. Amazingly, the heat in California will only catch up during the month of September and October and this leaves the city quite wintry during the summer. The weather temperature of California will only prevail between 50 and 60 degrees during the summer. One can enjoy exploring Alcatraz, go for a heavy ride in trolley cars and travel across Golden Gate Bridge without even sweating. 

9. Cape Town in South Africa

Here comes another splendid place in to visit in South Africa and that is Cape Town. When summer approaches, the whales of Southern Right enters the Southwestern coast of South Africa and this offers a great whale watching in the land. Similarly, the temperature remains cool in Cape Town with an average temperature of 47 degrees. However, we advice you watch out for a bit of rain. 

10. Queenstown in New Zealand

For the sport freaks, it is time you consider Queenstown, the South Island of New Zealand. This resort has gained the global attention for its adventuresome activities and sports. Throughout the summer, there will be a slight taste of winter in the air and sports such as skiing makes it more exciting. This region attracts tourists who are so into skiing and those who are terribly adventurous do not hesitate to pick a helicopter and ski in slopes that barely explored by others.
