CMWSSB to Suspend Sewage Pumping Stations in Royapuram, Teynampet for 16 Hours

The Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (CMWSSB) has announced that several sewage pumping stations in Royapuram and Teynampet will temporarily suspend operations for 16 hours, from 10 pm on September 18 to 2 pm on September 19.

The temporary shutdown is required as the Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) carries out major pipeline interlinking work on Ramakrishna Mutt Road near Thirumayilai MRTS Station in the Teynampet zone.

Sewage Pumping Stations Affected

The following sewage pumping stations will remain temporarily non-operational:

Royapuram Zone:

- Parthethotam Sewage Pumping Station

Teynampet Zone:

- Ice House Sewage Pumping Station

- Chinna Thambi Street Sewage Pumping Station

- Arunachalam Street Sewage Pumping Station

- Parthasarathy Street Sewage Pumping Station

- Nadukuppam Sewage Pumping Station

- Ayothiya Kuppam Sewage Pumping Station

- Ram Nagar Sewage Pumping Station

- TS Park Sewage Pumping Station

Residents in the affected areas are advised to take note of the temporary suspension. If they experience sewage-related problems or overflow during this period, they can contact the respective area engineers.
