Chennai Railway Changes: Express Trains Shifted from Egmore to Tambaram and Mambalam

Due to redevelopment work at Chennai Egmore Railway Station, several express trains departing from and arriving at Egmore have been temporarily shifted to Tambaram and Mambalam railway stations from today until August 26.

Train Arrival Changes

Until August 24, the Uzhavan Express from Thanjavur, Mangaluru Central Express, Ananthapuri Express from Kollam and Salem Express will operate only up to Tambaram.

The Rockfort Express from Tiruchirappalli, which normally operates to Chennai Egmore, will run up to Mambalam during this period.

Train Departure Changes

The Uzhavan Express to Thanjavur will depart from Tambaram at 11:00 PM from August 21 to 25.

The Mangaluru-bound train will depart from Tambaram at 11:40 PM, while the Ananthapuri Express will leave Tambaram at 8:20 PM.

The Rockfort Express to Tiruchirappalli will depart from Mambalam at 12:05 AM from August 21 to 26.

Passengers travelling on these trains are advised to check the revised boarding and arrival stations before starting their journey.
