Onam Festival: Chennai - Mangaluru Special Trains Announced

To manage the additional passenger rush during the Onam festival, Southern Railway will operate two weekly special express trains between Chennai Central and Mangaluru.

Chennai to Mangaluru

Special Express Train No. 06127 will depart from Chennai Dr. M.G.R. Central at 11:50 PM on August 21 and 28, 2026. It will reach Mangaluru Junction at 5:00 PM the following day.

Mangaluru to Chennai

In the return direction, Special Express Train No. 06128 will depart from Mangaluru at 7:15 PM on August 22 and 29 and arrive at Chennai Central at 11:35 AM the next day.

Stoppages

The special trains will stop at Perambur, Arakkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Podanur, Palakkad, Shoranur, Tirur, Kozhikode, Vadakara, Thalassery, Kannur, Payyanur, Nileshwaram, Kanhangad and Kasaragod stations.
