Tamil Nadu LPG e-KYC Deadline Extended to August 23

The LPG e-KYC deadline in Tamil Nadu has been extended to August 23 for domestic cooking gas cylinder consumers. The verification deadline was earlier set to expire, but the extension has reportedly been provided due to overcrowding at LPG agencies and technical issues faced by consumers.

LPG e-KYC Deadline Extended in Tamil Nadu

The e-KYC verification process is being carried out for domestic LPG consumers to authenticate the details of the person in whose name the gas connection is registered.

Consumers who receive LPG subsidy are required to complete the e-KYC process through the official mobile application of their respective oil marketing company.

The three major public-sector oil companies - Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum - have provided around 2.40 crore domestic LPG connections in Tamil Nadu.

10% of LPG Consumers Yet to Complete e-KYC

Around 10% of LPG consumers in Tamil Nadu are reportedly yet to complete the mandatory e-KYC verification.

As the earlier deadline approached, large numbers of consumers reportedly visited LPG agencies to complete the process. This resulted in crowding and technical problems at several locations.

The deadline extension is expected to give consumers additional time to complete the verification without facing last-minute difficulties.

LPG Consumers Advised to Complete e-KYC

Under the current process, consumers need to verify the details associated with their domestic LPG connection. The verification is particularly relevant for customers receiving LPG cylinder subsidies.

Consumers who have not yet completed their LPG e-KYC should complete the process before the extended deadline of August 23. They can check the official mobile application of their respective LPG provider or contact their authorised gas distributor for further assistance.

LPG e-KYC Update for Tamil Nadu Consumers

The extension provides additional time for domestic LPG customers across Tamil Nadu to complete their KYC verification. It is also expected to reduce the rush at LPG agencies and help consumers avoid last-minute technical and administrative issues.

Customers are advised to complete the verification process as early as possible rather than waiting until the final day.
