IMD Forecasts Rain in 10 Tamil Nadu Districts Until 10 AM

The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC), Chennai, has forecast light to moderate rainfall in 10 districts of Tamil Nadu until 10:00 AM today.

According to the latest weather bulletin, a weak trough persists over the lower levels of the atmosphere along the Tamil Nadu coastal region. In addition, another trough extends from South Gujarat to North Kerala at mean sea level. These weather systems are expected to influence rainfall activity across parts of the state.

The department has also stated that heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds (40–50 kmph) is likely at isolated places in the hilly regions of Coimbatore and Tirunelveli districts, as well as in The Nilgiris, Theni, and Kanniyakumari districts.

For the morning hours, light to moderate rain is expected in the following 10 districts:

- Tirunelveli
- Tenkasi
- Theni
- Virudhunagar
- Coimbatore
- The Nilgiris
- Dindigul
- Tiruppur
- Erode
