Karaikal Schools Closed Today Due to Heavy Rainfall

All government and private schools in Karaikal have been declared closed today following continuous heavy rainfall across the region.
According to the weather department, a lower atmospheric cyclonic circulation over the Kumari Sea and adjoining areas is influencing rainfall activity. Due to this system, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely in parts of South Tamil Nadu, isolated areas of North Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry and Karaikal.
Karaikal has been witnessing non-stop rainfall since early morning, raising safety concerns for students and commuters.
In view of the prevailing weather conditions, Namassivayam, Education Minister, officially announced a school holiday for today in Karaikal to ensure student safety.
