Deadline to pay exam fees without fine extended now for polytechnic students in TN!!
A breathing space for the polytechnic students in the form of extension of deadline for paying their exam fees!!
It was mentioned by technical education commissioner Innocent Divya that the deadline for paying the exam fees without penalty has been extended.
In November, the semester examinations for those students who are studying a 3 year diploma in engineering at various polytechnics across TN would be conducted. Earlier, it was announced that the last date for the payment of exam fees for these students was 16th of September.
It was mentioned earlier that the students could pay a penalty amount of Rs 150 and apply from 15th to 23rd of September and penalty amount of Rs 750 and could apply from 24th to 26th of September. Now, this has been changed for the sake of the students.
It was mentioned in the notification that students can apply for the polytechnic examination to be held in November without paying any penalty amount till 20th of September. It added that the students could apply from 21st to 27th September by paying a penalty fee of Rs 150 and students could apply from 28th to 6th October by paying a penalty amount of Rs 750.
From 3rd October, the last working day for all semester students except first semester has been changed to 17th of October. On the website of the DOTE, the proposed time table has been published. It is now said that the detailed schedule would be published 15 days before the commencement of the semester examination.
