Sundar C to Contest from Madurai Central on PNK Ticket

Actor-director Sundar C has been named as the Puthiya Needhi Katchi (PNK) candidate for the Madurai Central constituency in the AIADMK-led NDA alliance for the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
PNK President A.C. Shanmugam announced that Sundar C will represent the party from Madurai Central. He also said the BJP will officially confirm the constituency allocation and candidate details on Monday, after which the party will formally introduce him.
As per the alliance agreement, the BJP will contest 27 seats, PMK 18, AMMK 11, and TMC 5, along with smaller allies.
Meanwhile, TMC leader G.K. Vasan has stated that his party will contest all five seats under the ‘Lotus’ symbol.
