Schools Declared Holiday Today Due to Heavy Rain

The district administrations of Chennai and Thiruvallur have declared a holiday for all schools today(Oct. 28 ) following continuous heavy rains across the region. The decision was taken as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of students amid waterlogging and adverse weather conditions.
Colleges and other educational institutions will function as usual, officials clarified. The Meteorological Department has forecast continued rain in several parts of north Tamil Nadu over the next 24 hours.
