Second round of All India Counselling for MBBS and BDS seats from TOMORROW!!
An important piece of information for the MBBS and BDS aspirants in TN!!
In the government medical and dental colleges in India, 15% of MBBS and BDS seats have been reserved for the All India quota is well known to us.
From Tomorrow, 4th of September onwards, the second round of counselling for MBBS and BDS seats would begin online and from 10th of September the second round of counselling for the TN state quota seats would begin.
It must be taken into account that the medical counselling committee or MCC of the Directorate General of Health services or DGHS is conducting online counselling for these seats and MBBS and BDS seats in AIIMS, JIPMER, central universities etc.
It must be recalled that for the academic year 2025-26 the first round of counselling for MBBS and BDS courses took place online from 21st July to 22nd August 2025.
In this scenario, the second round of counselling for these courses to fill the remaining seats and seats left by those who took part in the first round of counselling but did not get admission in the colleges would take place until 19th of September.
Important information is that DME or Directorate of Medical Education is conducting counselling for the remaining 85% seats in the government medical and dental colleges in TN, government quota seats and management quota seats in the private colleges for MBBS and BDS.
From 9th August to 24th August, the first round of counselling was held online. It is now revealed that the second round of counselling for the remaining seats and the vacancies created by those who didn’t secure admission after getting reservation in the first round of counselling would take place online from 10th September to 25th September.
