Gold prices in Chennai witnessed a sharp decline on October 31, 2026, according to the latest Madras Jewellers and Diamond Traders Association (MJDTA) rate update. The price of 22-carat gold dropped by ₹310 per gram, while 18-carat gold fell by ₹250 and 14-carat gold declined by ₹180 per gram. Silver prices also decreased by ₹10 per gram.

18-carat gold: ₹10,420 (↓ ₹250)

14-carat gold: ₹8,350 (↓ ₹180)

Silver: ₹200 (↓ ₹10)

22-Carat Gold Price Drops in Chennai

The price of 22-carat gold has decreased by ₹310 per gram to ₹12,730. Consequently, the price of one sovereign (8 grams) has fallen by ₹2,480 to ₹1,01,840.

Similarly, 18-carat gold is now priced at ₹10,420 per gram following a decline of ₹250. The price of 14-carat gold has also dropped by ₹180 to ₹8,350 per gram.

Silver Rate Today in Chennai

Silver prices in Chennai have declined by ₹10 per gram and are now trading at ₹200 per gram, according to the latest MJDTA update.
