CM Vijay to Honour Class 10 and 12 Toppers at Education Awards in Chennai

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay will honour outstanding school students from 30 Assembly constituencies across five districts at the annual ‘Kalvi Virudhu Vazhangum’ education awards ceremony on Wednesday.

The first phase of the awards programme will take place at the RK Convention Centre in Neelankarai, Chennai, at 2 PM. Students who secured the first three positions in the Class 10 and Class 12 public examinations during the 2025–26 academic year will receive certificates and cash incentives from the Chief Minister.

Students from Five Districts to Receive Awards

The first phase of the programme will recognise academic achievers from 30 Assembly constituencies across Ariyalur, Cuddalore, Kallakurichi, Tiruvannamalai and Villupuram districts.

The district-wise distribution is as follows:

Ariyalur: 2 constituencies

Cuddalore: 9 constituencies

Kallakurichi: 5 constituencies

Tiruvannamalai: 8 constituencies

Villupuram: 6 constituencies

Award-winning students and their parents have been invited to attend the ceremony.

Event Schedule and Arrangements

Students and their parents have been instructed to arrive at the venue from 11 AM for document verification. Lunch will be provided to attendees before the award ceremony begins at 2 PM.

The programme aims to recognise students who have demonstrated academic excellence in their public examinations and encourage them to continue pursuing their educational aspirations.

Vijay`s Education Awards Initiative

The annual education awards initiative was launched in 2023 by Vijay in his capacity as president of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK).

This year`s event marks the first time Vijay will present the awards after assuming office as Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

However, the ceremony is being organised by the TVK party and is not a government programme.
