SBI Bank Branches to Remain Open on Sunday, September 27

State Bank of India (SBI) has informed its customers that its bank branches will remain operational on Sunday, September 27, 2026, amid the proposed public sector bank employees` strike scheduled from September 28 to 30.

SBI has sent a message to customers informing them that branches will function as usual on Sunday. The decision is intended to provide customers an opportunity to complete their banking requirements before the proposed three-day strike.

SBI Bank Open on September 27

Normally, bank branches remain closed on Sundays. However, September 27 will be a working day for SBI branches in view of the proposed strike by public sector bank employees.

Customers who need to visit a branch for banking services can use the additional working day to complete their transactions.

Bank Strike from September 28 to 30

Public sector bank employees are scheduled to participate in a three-day strike from September 28 to September 30. The proposed strike may affect regular branch-based banking services during these dates.

Customers are therefore advised to plan important banking transactions in advance and make use of digital banking facilities wherever possible.

Long-Distance Bus and Rail Travel

People planning long-distance bus or rail journeys during this period can also make necessary banking arrangements in advance, particularly if they require cash withdrawals, branch services or other time-sensitive transactions.
