Passengers travelling between Chennai Tambaram and Villupuram should note that the MEMU train service will be partially cancelled on June 13, 17, and 20, 2026, due to track maintenance works being carried out in the Tiruchirappalli Railway Division.

According to Southern Railway, the MEMU train departing Tambaram at 9:40 AM for Villupuram will operate only up to Mundiyampakkam on the affected dates instead of running to Villupuram.

Railway authorities have advised passengers travelling to and from Villupuram on June 13, 17, and 20 to plan their journeys accordingly and check updated schedules before travel.
