SBI Bank Employees Announce Nationwide Strike Over Staff Shortage

Employees of State Bank of India (SBI) have announced a nationwide strike demanding immediate action to address staff shortages in branches across the country.

Bank employee unions stated that the shortage of staff has increased work pressure and affected customer service in several SBI branches. They have urged the management to recruit additional employees and improve working conditions.

According to reports, SBI bank services may remain affected for a total of four days, including:

May 24 – Nationwide strike
Sunday holiday
May 27 – Bakrid holiday

Customers are advised to complete important banking transactions in advance, as branch operations and selected banking services could face disruptions during the strike period.
