Chennai Metro Staff Save Passenger After Medical Emergency at Saidapet Station

Chennai Metro Rail staff came to the rescue of a 43-year-old passenger who suffered a medical emergency while travelling on Sunday.

The passenger, identified as Arumugam, fell ill while travelling from Guindy Metro station. After the train reached Saidapet Metro station, CMRL staff provided first aid and immediately arranged emergency medical assistance. He was then shifted to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

Meanwhile, Chennai Metro also conducted a polio immunisation drive at several Metro stations, including Tollgate, Vadapalani, Egmore, High Court, Washermenpet, Wimco Nagar, Alandur, and New Washermenpet. Parents travelling with eligible children were encouraged to make use of the vaccination facility.
