Tamil Nadu PG Teachers Online Counselling on Feb 7 & 9: TRB
The School Education Department has announced that online counselling for Post Graduate (PG) Teacher vacancies in government higher secondary schools will be conducted on February 7 and 9 through the EMIS portal.
According to a circular issued to Chief Educational Officers, candidates selected by the Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB) for the academic years 2023–2024 and 2024–2025 will be eligible to participate in the counselling process.
Selection List Released on January 22
The list of selected Post Graduate Assistant Teachers was published on January 22 on the official website. Appointment counselling will be conducted online via the EMIS platform, where candidates can choose their preferred vacant posts.
Instructions to Education Officials
Once the counselling dates are confirmed, Chief Educational Officers have been instructed to immediately inform all eligible candidates. Counselling for all subjects will be conducted simultaneously using the EMIS system with district-level user IDs and passwords already provided.
Officials have been asked to ensure:
- Adequate computer and internet facilities based on subject-wise candidate strength
- Verification of educational certificates of selected candidates on the counselling day
- Confirmation of the chosen vacant post by candidates
Appointment Orders to Be Issued Later
The circular clearly states that appointment orders must not be issued on the counselling day under any circumstances. Instead, the appointment orders will be formally distributed at a function in Chennai by Chief Minister M. K. Stalin, the circular added.
