Balanaga Devi Appointed as New CBCID DGP: 10 IPS Officers Transferred in Tamil Nadu

The Tamil Nadu government has ordered a major reshuffle of the police department, with 10 IPS officers transferred and given new responsibilities. Senior IPS officer Balnaga Devi has been appointed as the new CBCID DGP.

According to an order issued by Home Secretary Manivasan, Balnaga Devi, who was serving as the DGP of Cyber Crime, has been transferred and appointed as CBCID DGP. The CBCID post, which was earlier held at the ADGP level, has now been upgraded to the DGP rank.

Key IPS Officer Transfers

Abin Dinesh Modak, who was serving as CBCID ADGP, has been appointed as ADGP, Cyber Crime.

Vidya Jayanth Kulkarni, who has returned to Tamil Nadu from central government service, has been appointed as ADGP, Economic Offences Wing (EOW).

Rammurthy, who was serving as Deputy Commissioner of Police in the Chennai City Intelligence Unit, has been appointed as SP, Q Branch. Aravind, who was serving in the Q Branch, has been transferred as SP, SBCID-1.

Arpit Rajput, who was serving as SP of the CBCID Northern Zone, has been appointed as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Anna Nagar, Chennai. Easwaran, who was serving as DCP Anna Nagar, has been transferred as SP, Commando Force.

S.R. Senthil Kumar, who was serving as SP, Avadi CBCID, has been appointed as SP, Nagapattinam Coastal Security Group.

Saravanan Kumar, who was serving as SP, Northern Zone of the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC), has been transferred as SP, Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS).

Ramesh Babu, who was serving as SP in the Anti-Terrorism Squad, has been appointed as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Tirunelveli City.

The latest Tamil Nadu IPS officer reshuffle brings changes to several key positions, including CBCID, Cyber Crime, Economic Offences Wing, Q Branch, Anti-Terrorism Squad and city police units.

The appointments and transfers are part of the Tamil Nadu government`s latest restructuring of senior police responsibilities.
