Tambaram - Villupuram Passenger Train Partially Cancelled on Select Dates - Southern Railway Update

The Southern Railway has announced the partial cancellation of Tambaram–Villupuram passenger train services on select dates due to scheduled maintenance work on the railway track.

Train Cancellation Details

According to the official notification:

- Train No. 66045 (Tambaram–Villupuram Passenger) departing Tambaram at 9:40 AM will be partially cancelled between Tindivanam and Villupuram on specific dates.

- Train No. 66046 (Villupuram–Chennai Beach Passenger) departing Villupuram at 1:30 PM will be partially cancelled between Villupuram and Tindivanam on the same dates.

The cancellations are scheduled for February 24, 26, and 28 as part of track maintenance and engineering works on the Chennai Egmore–Villupuram section.

Impact on Passengers

Passengers traveling between Tambaram, Tindivanam, and Villupuram are advised to:

- Check revised train schedules before departure

- Make alternative travel arrangements if required

- Arrive early at railway stations to avoid inconvenience

The trains will continue to operate on the remaining sections of the route.
