AIADMK Announces Key Promises for Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections 2026

AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami announced the party’s first set of promises for the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, highlighting a proposal to provide ₹2,000 monthly assistance to all ration card-holding families. The amount will be credited directly to the bank account of the woman head of the household under the Kulavilakku Scheme.
Other major promises include free city bus travel for both men and women, increasing rural employment scheme workdays from 125 to 150, housing support in urban areas, and a ₹25,000 two-wheeler subsidy for 5 lakh women.
According to Edappadi K Palaniswami, the manifesto focuses on women empowerment, welfare-driven governance, and livelihood support across Tamil Nadu.
