Tamil Nadu Government Announces Major IAS Officer Transfers and New Administrative Appointments

The Tamil Nadu government has announced a fresh round of administrative transfers, appointing several IAS officers to important positions in district administration and key government departments.

As part of the reshuffle, Ponmani IAS, who was serving as Joint Commissioner of Commercial Taxes in Erode, has been appointed as the Additional Commissioner of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR&CE) Department for the Tiruchirappalli region.

Jeyaseelan, who served as Joint Commissioner of the Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC), has been appointed as the Commissioner of the Tamil Nadu Tourism Department. The appointment is expected to strengthen the state`s tourism promotion and development initiatives.

In district-level changes, Akash IAS has been transferred from Madurai and appointed as the new District Collector of Sivaganga. Meanwhile, Nishanth Krishna, who was serving as the Sivaganga District Collector, has been appointed as the new District Collector of Madurai.

The latest IAS transfers and postings are part of the Tamil Nadu government`s efforts to enhance administrative efficiency, improve governance, and ensure effective implementation of development and public welfare programmes across the state.
