Voter Registration Deadline Extended Till 30th Under Special Summary Revision in Tamil Nadu
The Election Department has extended the deadline for adding names to the voter list under the Special Summary Revision (SSR) in Tamil Nadu until 30th of this month.
To facilitate eligible citizens, special voter list revision camps will be conducted across 16 Assembly constituencies in Chennai district on Saturday, 24th, and Sunday, 25th. A total of 4,079 polling station centers will function during these two days to receive applications.
Who Can Apply?
- Citizens whose names are not included in the draft voter list
- Eligible citizens who have completed 18 years of age
Such applicants can submit Form 6 along with a declaration form to include their names in the voter list.
Other Voter-Related Applications
Form 7 can be used to raise objections to proposed inclusions or to request deletion of an existing name from the voter list
Form 8 is available for:
- Change of address
- Correction of personal details
- Replacement of Voter ID card
- Marking persons with disabilities (PwD) in voter records
Important Note
Eligible citizens are encouraged to make use of these special camps to ensure their names are included in the voter list before the extended deadline.
