Salem Railway Track Renewal Work to Cause Delays for Two Express Trains

The Southern Railway has announced temporary delays for two express trains due to track renewal work being carried out between Maragudanchavadi and Veerapandi railway stations in Salem district.

According to an official statement issued by the Salem Railway Division, the maintenance work will affect train operations on the Erode route, resulting in additional stoppage time for select trains.

The Ernakulam–Patna Nagar Express (Train No. 18190) will be detained for 50 minutes at an en route station on July 13, 15, and 18 due to the ongoing track maintenance work.

Similarly, the Alappuzha–Dhanbad Express (Train No. 13352) will be detained for 20 minutes at an en route station during the same period.

The Salem Railway Division has advised passengers travelling on these trains to plan their journeys accordingly, as the temporary delays are necessary to facilitate essential track renewal work and ensure safer, more reliable railway operations.
