Vipin Kumar Takes Charge as AGM of Southern Railway

Vipin Kumar has assumed charge as the new Additional General Manager (AGM) of Southern Railway. A 1988 batch officer of the Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE), he succeeds Kaushal Kishore, who retired in August 2025.
Before this appointment, Vipin served as Chief Administrative Officer (Construction) at North Central Railway. With extensive experience in railways, metros, highways, and tunnels, he has also held key roles including SDGM of Eastern Railway and Principal Chief Engineer of Rail Wheel Factory, Bengaluru.
An alumnus of Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, Allahabad, Vipin holds a postgraduate degree in Computer Science from IIT Delhi.
