Roblox Highlights India's Growing Gaming and Creator Economy; Creator Ecosystem Shows Massive Potential

Roblox, the global gaming and creation platform, has highlighted India`s growing gaming market and creator economy, indicating significant opportunities for Indian developers, designers and digital entrepreneurs.

At its recent `UNBOX ROBLOX` familiarisation event in New Delhi, the company showcased its latest announcements, games and features from RDC 2026 and presented findings from its India Economic Impact Report.

According to the report, India`s gaming industry revenue is projected to grow from ₹6,300 crore in 2025 to ₹9,200 crore by 2028. Roblox`s daily active users in India recorded a 76% compound annual growth rate between 2020 and 2025.

The report also highlights the rapid growth of Indian creators, with more than 250 eligible for Roblox payouts in 2025. Indian creators are increasingly reaching international audiences through games, virtual fashion and digital experiences.

Roblox also showcased success stories, including Bengaluru-based Small World Games, whose game Death Ball has recorded over 1.6 billion visits, and Meta Fashion, which has sold more than 2.5 million digital fashion items.

Sunil Rao, Managing Director of Roblox India and South Asia, said India has enormous potential, adding that the next major Roblox hit could emerge from the country`s growing community of small studios and creators.

The report estimates that Roblox creator activity contributed ₹123.9 crore to India`s GDP between 2020 and 2025 and supported approximately 510 full-time-equivalent jobs across the economy in 2025.

The findings underline India`s emerging position as an important market for gaming, digital creativity and global creator-led businesses.
