Palani Panguni Uthiram Festival 2026 to Begin on March 26
The grand Panguni Uthiram festival at the famous Thiru Avinankudi Temple in Palani will begin on March 26 with the traditional flag hoisting ceremony.
The 10-day festival will witness daily processions, where Lord Murugan will be taken in various vahanams through the streets, blessing thousands of devotees.
One of the key highlights of the festival will take place on March 31, the sixth day, when the Thirukalyanam (divine wedding ceremony) will be held after 7 PM. This will be followed by the silver chariot procession (Velli Therottam) at around 9 PM, where the deity will appear in a special wedding form.
The most important event, the grand Therottam (chariot procession), is scheduled for April 1 and is expected to attract a large number of devotees from across Tamil Nadu.
The festival will conclude on April 4 with the Thiruvudal ceremony in the morning, followed by the flag lowering ceremony at night.
Devotees are expected to gather in large numbers to participate in this spiritually significant festival celebrated annually at Palani.
