Southern Railway Cancels Eight EMU Services on July 17; Special Trains to Tambaram Announced

Southern Railway has cancelled eight suburban EMU train services on the Chennai Beach–Chengalpattu route on July 17 due to maintenance work at the Guduvancheri railway yard on the Chennai Egmore–Villupuram section.

The cancelled services from Chennai Beach to Chengalpattu are scheduled to depart at 11:28 a.m., 12:02 p.m., 12:30 p.m., and 1:45 p.m.

The return services from Chengalpattu to Chennai Beach, scheduled to leave at 1:35 p.m., 2:15 p.m., 3:00 p.m., and 4:25 p.m., have also been cancelled.

To minimise inconvenience to passengers, special EMU services will operate between Chennai Beach and Tambaram.

The special trains will depart from Chennai Beach at 11:28 a.m., 12:02 p.m., 12:30 p.m., and 1:45 p.m., while the return services from Tambaram to Chennai Beach will leave at 2:30 p.m., 3:15 p.m., 4:00 p.m., and 5:24 p.m.

Passengers are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and check the revised timetable before travelling.
