Kobelco India Launches Three New Excavator Variants to Boost Infrastructure Projects

Kobelco Construction Equipment India (KCEI) has unveiled three new excavator variants in the 19.1–24-tonne category: the SK210, SK215LC and SK230XDLC. The new models combine Japanese technology and local manufacturing to deliver improved performance, fuel efficiency and cost-effectiveness for India`s growing infrastructure sector.

Key Features of the New Kobelco Excavators

Manufactured at Kobelco`s facility in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, the new excavators are powered by a 150 HP F4.5 Cummins CRDI engine. Key features include enhanced digging force, GEOSCAN remote tracking, standard air-conditioning, LED work lights and a power boost function.

The machines also offer extended hydraulic oil and filter maintenance intervals to improve uptime and help reduce operating costs.

Strengthening Local Manufacturing in India

Kobelco`s Sri City facility has an annual production capacity of approximately 3,500 units and has manufactured more than 20,000 machines for domestic and international markets across over 16 countries.

According to Jun Hayama, Managing Director of KCEI, the launch reflects the company`s long-term commitment to India`s infrastructure development as it celebrates two decades of operations in the country.

Moses Eddy, Director of KCEI, highlighted the company`s focus on combining advanced technology with localisation to help customers achieve better excavation economics.

Supporting India`s Infrastructure Growth

With these new excavator variants, Kobelco aims to provide reliable, durable and cost-effective machinery for India`s expanding construction and infrastructure industries. The launch reinforces its `Value Excavation` philosophy, focusing on productivity, fuel efficiency and long-term customer value.
