15 CBSE and Other Board Schools Receive NOC; 10 Schools Get Initial Approval in Tamil Nadu

The Tamil Nadu School Education Department has issued No Objection Certificates (NOCs) to 15 CBSE and other board schools and granted initial approval to 10 private schools, School Education Minister Rajmohan announced.

According to an official statement, various categories of private educational institutions, including nursery, primary, matriculation, CBSE, and other board schools, function under the State`s private school education system. These schools are granted initial approval and are required to renew their recognition every three years.

Following the formation of the new government, the department has been processing pending recognition applications without delay. Earlier, on June 16, recognition orders were issued to 848 private schools.

Continuing the process, on July 14, the Minister personally handed over 25 approval orders, including 15 NOCs for establishing CBSE and other board schools and 10 initial approval certificates for matriculation, nursery, and primary schools, to the respective school managements and principals.

The event was attended by School Education Secretary P. Chandramohan, Director of School Education S. Kannappan, and Director of Private Schools S. Suganya.

The department also informed that, from July 1, applications for starting CBSE, other board, matriculation, nursery, and primary schools can be submitted online through the official portal. Applications for renewal of recognition can also be filed online by uploading the required documents, enabling the department to process approvals without unnecessary delays.
