Rain Alert: Thunderstorms Expected in 16 Tamil Nadu Districts Today

The Chennai Meteorological Department has forecast light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder, lightning, and strong winds in several parts of Tamil Nadu, including Puducherry and Karaikal, today.
In its latest update, the department announced that rain is likely to occur in 16 districts of Tamil Nadu until 1 PM. The affected districts include Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Theni, Tenkasi, Perambalur, Ariyalur, Pudukkottai, Sivaganga, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Thanjavur, Thiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Mayiladuthurai, Tirunelveli, and Kanyakumari.
Residents in these areas are advised to take necessary precautions.
